Corrie-Leigh Johnson
Promoted to Sales Manager, Bexleyheath
What did you do before joining the Group?
I was an estate agent in Crystal Palace and got a real insight into the industry. I knew that Estate Agency was a career I wanted to progress in.
What attracted you to Estate Agency?
I liked the idea of a commission incentivised job and knowing the harder you work, the more you get rewarded.
What type of mentoring or support have you received during your time with us, and what advice has been a great help?
I started as a sales negotiator and knew that valuing homes was one of our most challenging jobs. I was placed in the deep end but quickly adapted, and now I find myself being able to comfortably and successfully advise my clients on why we are the best agent for them. The best thing about this company is that everyone supports each other no matter their role.
What are your ambitions for the future?
I am always keen to progress, and I know that I can within my team. I am now a sales manager within the office, and one day I would love to be a Branch Manager/ Partner.
What do you like most about working here?
We have the best team, and each day is different. It is a fun place to work. Not one house is the same, and dealing with a varied clientele. Estate Agency, for me, beats any 9-5 job and challenges me daily.
Any advice to those considering a career in Estate Agency?
People always assume sales is easy, it is challenging, but with hard work, it is rewarding. It's important to remember some days are better than others and keep your head up and keep going.
WILDCARD - What did you want to be when you were 10 years old?
My parents ran a local business on a shop parade, and I was always in and out of the shops helping all the different companies. I didn't know what I wanted to do precisely.
