Benjamin Hill
Promoted to Branch Manager in Dartford
What did you do before joining us?
A bit of everything! Banking, landscape gardening, pub work, car garage apprentice etc.
What attracted you to Estate Agency?
An Estate Agent is something I was destined to be! As a young boy, I got the Newshopper on a Wednesday and then took out the property pages and studied the houses. The yellow and blue of Robinson Jackson always grabbed me! The place I delivered my CV was Robinson Jackson Welling and Blackfen.
What type of mentoring or support have you received during your time with us, and what advice has been a great help?
I have been fortunate enough always to have the support and guidance from John Browning, Rob Browning and Nick Menzies, who have been my rocks along the way, always picking me up when things are down and guiding me in the right direction.
What are your ambitions for the future?
I aim to push this branch to stay at the number one spot, not only on the company but in the town and region. I would like to see my staff learn and progress themselves also, as seeing another team member succeed from the help and support I can offer is a great feeling!
What do you like most about working here?
I love the ethos of Robinson Jackson - work hard and play harder! Always the front runner in all things new and worthwhile!
Any advice to those considering a career in Estate Agency?
Prepare to work your socks off and learn fast. Estate Agency is a very fast-paced and demanding job. There is no waiting for things to come to you; you have to go out and get them and do it all with a smile and wearing a cracking suit!
WILDCARD - What did you want to be when you were 10 years old?
Judging by the way I studied the property pages in the Newshopper, I would say an estate agent! I also wanted to be a marine biologist; I guess that wasn't meant to work out!
