Promoted to Sales Manager at Eltham

What did you do before joining us? Before joining Robinson Jackson, I was a barista at Caffe Nero. It was a great experience, which I thoroughly enjoyed, meeting so many different people every day. The company pushed you to improve, with a great pathway for promotions. It was always busy, working with great people, plenty of laughs, and way too much coffee!

What attracted you to estate agency? I always want to push myself and am always focusing on the next challenge. With Estate Agency there is no limit on how many houses you can list and sell. People will always need homes and at some point will have to sell or buy. I didn't want a mundane job, I wanted one that is different every day and constantly challenges me.

What type of mentoring or support have you received during your time with us, and what advice has been a great help? I have worked with many great people since I have joined Robinson Jackson over 5 years ago. With many going on to progress throughout the company and industry. I always felt I could ask questions and learn from the people around me, asking my thoughts of property prices with the aim of building up my knowledge and confidence on different properties.

The best advice I have been given is to slow down, have a little more patience, and be composed in my decision-making in any situation. For example, taking 5 minutes to think things through carefully before any action enables us to get to the desired outcome quicker than rushing from the outset.

What are your ambitions for the future? Learn, Learn, and Learn some more! There's always more to learn. I want to provide excellent service to my clients and build myself a great reputation as a knowledgeable Estate Agent and a go-to for expert advice on all things property. My main ambition is to become a partner one day.

What do you like most about working here? The people! I work with a great bunch of people. I always have, from the first moment I walked through the door to now. People who know when it’s time to work but also when to play and have a laugh.

Any advice to those considering a career in estate agency? If you are looking for a challenge, are prepared to work hard and thrive off competition, then you will go far! There is no ceiling on what you can earn, work hard and it will pay off! Some days are better than others, obviously, but very rewarding when you get over the line. Go for it!

WILDCARD - What did you want to be when you were 10 years old? A footballer or something animal-related. I love dogs!!
