Promoted to Senior Sales Negotiator at Rainham

What did you do before joining us? Before joining Robinson Michael & Jackson, I was completing an apprenticeship with horses whilst also studying for my A levels.

What attracted you to estate agency? I've always wanted a career related to housing. Initially, I was interested in architecture, but I realised that exams and school didn't bring out the best in me. That's when I discovered my interest in selling houses and decided to pursue estate agency.

What type of mentoring or support have you received during your time with us, and what advice has been a great help? I've received a lot of psychological advice on understanding and communicating with different people, which has been helpful both at work and in my personal life. I've also learned that education doesn't stop after school; you can continue learning through books, podcasts, and other resources. Keep growing yourself and your mind!

What are your ambitions for the future? In the future, I aim to run my own branch in Essex under RMJ.

What do you like most about working here? Firstly the people – my team and the recognition for our good work. Secondly, there is a clear career path in the company, and as long as you demonstrate your capabilities and meet your targets, each manager is willing to support you and help you grow and achieve.

Any advice to those considering a career in estate agency? For those considering a career in estate agency, I advise being prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced environment where hard work is essential. Success in this field relies heavily on strong communication and interpersonal skills, so always be ready to engage with clients and colleagues. Building a supportive network within your team is crucial, as they can provide valuable assistance and encouragement. Additionally, stay open to continuous learning and professional development to keep up with industry trends and enhance your skills. And remember, while the work is demanding, there are plenty of opportunities to have fun and enjoy your achievements.

WILDCARD - What did you want to be when you were 10 years old? I wanted to be an Architect or Farmer.
