Dulwich: where?

Tucked in between the ‘hills’ – Tulse Hill, Herne Hill and Forest Hill – Dulwich covers the SE21 and SE22 postcodes. The town sits close to where South East London becomes South West London, with Clapham, Balham, Wimbledon and Earsfield lying to its immediate west.

1. Transport:

• Three train stations – East Dulwich, North Dulwich and West Dulwich
• Services to London Bridge and Victoria taking less than 20 minutes
• Excellent bus service to SW and SE London

2. Schools:

The independent facilities are second to none, with Dulwich College, James Allen’s Girls’ School and Alleyns bearing impressive alumni. Dulwich state schools have also raised the bar in terms of educational standards, with many deemed ‘excellent’. There’s a ‘find-a-school’ facility on every one of our online property listings, where you can filter schools by age, type and Ofsted rating.

3. Attractions:

You don’t need to leave Dulwich to get a cultural or retail fix. There’s plenty of browsing, eating and drinking to be done on Croxted Road, Lordship Lane, Northcross Street and Park Hill Road, with a regular farmers’ market too. The artsy vibe is amplified by Dulwich Picture Gallery, East Dulwich Picturehouse & Café and The Luna Cinema in leafy Dulwich Park. The Dulwich Festival is the area's annual coming together and don’t forget to admire the view from Dulwich Upper Wood Nature Park.

Dulwich property

Dulwich is brimming with beautiful Victorian properties - some of which remain as large family dwellings, while others have been converted into flats. Lordship Lane is East Dulwich's main attraction and Dulwich Village retains the area's crown for the most desirable properties. Houses for sale in Alleyn Park, Alleyn Road, College Road and Frank Dixon Way are much sought after, although there’s plenty for those with modest budgets, especially around the Kingswood Estate.
